Being Willing To Give Up To Grow Up

In John C. Maxwell’s book, The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth, John writes about The Law of Trade-Offs, You Have To Give Up to Grow Up. And, he admits that “when you’re first starting out in your career it’s not very hard to give up to grow up…But what about when you’ve started to earn some things: a job you enjoy, a good salary, a home, a community you’ve become a part of, a level of security. Are you willing to give up those things for a chance at doing something that will take you closer to your potential?

John writes, “Most people try to take too many things with them as they journey through life. They want to keep adding without giving anything up. It doesn’t work. You can’t do everything; there is only so much time in a day. At some point, you reach your limit. Besides, we need to always remember that if nothing changes, nothing changes!

Good day to you! I’m Bart Nollenberger, and one of my most profound mentors is and has been John C. Maxwell and others in the John Maxwell Team. This is why I chose to become an Executive Director as part of The John Maxwell Team. I have the privilege of offering my services as a mentor to many and one of the easiest ways this is done is through MasterMind Groups.

I do many MasterMind Group sessions on The 15 Invaluable Laws of Growth. See more at the link below and get in touch with me regarding the next session, or any other of the many John Maxwell Team coaching and mentoring that I offer.
